Today's Church
Several project have added to the church since 1953. On the Duke St. side the north edge of the original church building is marked by the sidewalk between the sanctuary. Next to it, the front porch was a part of the parsonage, built around 1900. And the section of the building behind the windows that are Pastor Kent’s office was added in 1990. This addition included the offices and classroom along the north driveway
Also note that the original front doors were on this face of the church below the large stained glass window. When the building was restored after the 1946 fire, this wall was moved closer to the street. The original wall was more in line with the walls on either side of the chancel extension.

In 1967 the education wing was added along Walnut St. This addition originally
included the Church Office
Most recently the building was extended to Christian St., and over the parking lot to add more classrooms and the Celebration Center.
The congregation had another scare in 2000 when lightning struck the steeple. One of the turrets fell onto Duke St. and the organ suffered heavy damage from rubble and rainfall.
